A new magazine is born

Nederlandse versie

Beste vrienden, kennissen, skaters, kunstenaars, levensgenieters, painters, fotografen, filmers, mediamensen en vele andere mensen. Het is me gelukt…

True Magazine is the name, http://www.true-magazine.eu/ is de site.
Veel plezier,

Rob Rouleaux

English version

Dear friends, acquaintances, skaters, artists, painters, photographers, filmers, media people and all the rest of the people we know. We did it… True Magazine is a fact.
Issue 1 will be online this evening at 8 pm Amsterdam time and it has cost us a shitload of sweat, blood and a minimum amount of tears to get it done.
A new Magazine, you say? Yeah for sure a new one and it's gonna be different than the rest.
Throughout the many years in skateboarding we have met a lot of interesting people and we will surely remain doing so in the future. All the articles consist about stuff we think is interesting and we hope you'll feel that way also.
True Magazine has come alive just for the love of skateboarding and everything that has evolved from that. As you can see, our journey starts in our Hometown Venlo. Where we will be heading? We don't know, all we know is that Europe won't be safe now that we are around…

Issue 1 is now only available in Dutch, our translators are working their ass off to get the magazine done in English and German. So please be patient, it won't hopefully take long so you'll be able to read the articles.

So spread the word, spam everybody in your contactlist, put an update on your website or blog or just do whatever you feel necessary.
True Magazine is the name, http://www.true-magazine.eu/ is the site!
Have fun,

Rob Rouleaux

Every artists' legacy just lives forth through their art

As some of you may know, comic-artist Mike Wieringo passed away last weekend due to a heart-failure.
I did not know him personally, just that i like his art and his attitude displayed on different art-forums.
His Tellos-tale was amazing, he also did a lot of Fantastic 4 and other cool art.
My sympathies go out to his family.

In the meantime, just honor his art and keep those pencils pushing.

Free wallpaper

I did this wallpaper as an entry for a contest, didn't win it.
The theme is inspired by threads on sneaker-forums where we show off our footwear for the day.

I got them in 1024x768, 1280x124 and 1600x1200 all locked in one zipfile.

Good to go

After a 2 week holiday in Umbria, Italy i'm back all refreshed and ready for whatever gets thrown my way.
It's been good to not have had internet-access and watching hardly any TV, it clears your mind.
Plus the surroundings we were in, it was hardly necessary. Umbria is such a beautiful place of nature and culture, i highly recommend it.

Today, i've tried my hands at normal painting.
Just trying to acquaint myself handling a brush and acrylic paint so i practiced on some piece of cardboard.
Pretty fun to do but i still have to adjust to regular dip in the paint because when drawing with pens and markers you get used to the permanent flow of ink.
