Massive post

Today i did a massive upload of artwork that i did this year just for show and give some background-information about why and how.

One of the projects i did was the T-Shu x Gamekings x Kwills collaboration.
Sadly enough everything got flushed at the right after the start with a certain party not knowing exactly what they wanted. The brief was to merge gaming and fashion with in this case footwear but in the end they went for some standard text-thing. Whatev...
Some drafts below:

The last design of the Sneaker Invaders evolved into an Asics Gel Lyte 3 Invaders design.
Why? Because those particular shoes in the pictured colorway got released and me and a store wanted to do a t-shirt to celebrate that but Asics wasn't feeling it too much. They appreciated the effort but wouldn't touch it. After all i'll sleep a lot better when they give it the greenlight so it saves a lot of unnecessary hassle and lawsuits.

One design i'm pretty proud of and it might actually see the light of day in a Kwills-series is this Barong design.
Barong is the Indonesian Deity of Good with a pretty interesting look. I always loved the indonesian masks and their stories so this was an excellent opportunity to work on it.
If you look closely he's wearing some laceless Asics Gel Lyte 3 shoes haha

Originally designed for a t-shirt design contest hosted by Reload but they never announced what happened to the submitted designs and if there ever was a winner or not.
So if you can't win just do it yourself. The release will depend heavily on time and funds.

In the meanwhile there was a party somewhere in the summer which had a dresscode of black & white so for fun i created and painted this t-shirt with the Kwills-logo dipped in an inkpot with a touch of red incorporated.
I had a lot of positive feedback on it (and some beer too).

Last commission i did was this logo for the European Allstars who are affiliated with drifting (cars, events and such).

One important thing i wouldn't want to keep from you is that i did a massive graphic for B.Bot Defence Systems Inc.
They are participating in the NoComply exhibition which will be firstly hosted in Melbourne (for more info on artists and locations click here) and they asked me if i was interested in doing a graphic. I said 'YES!!' not knowing it would be a graphic spread out across 6 decks hehe.
All in all, we did a very cool concept and design of which i can only show you this little teaser:

I hope you enjoyed this little update with the background info.
My bed's calling so i'm peacing out.
Easy,

Who's the guy who did those Alien Workshop graphics?

As a kid i was always fascinated by the sharp & clean artwork that Alien Workshop had and still has. I tried to find out who was responsible for the majority of it untill recently i chatted with someone who told me to check out Don Pendleton.
Pretty curious i hit up Google and found his site and was transported back in time seeing all the graphics and stuff.
Also i found this video on Youtube called the "Three Beasts" which shows Don Pendleton working on and explaining his graphics and workmethod, very interesting to watch.
